To add a New Recipe, click on the word Recipe in the grey box on the left and type the name in the box provided. Your new recipe's name will appear under Edit Recipe on the right of the screen Click the recipe's name and you will be presented with a new screen.

To add an Image for your recipe, find or upload a suitable picture to an "Image gallery" type website eg YouTube, PhotoBucket or TinyPic. Once you have uploaded your picture copy its web address (URL) to the box on the Edit Recipe Screen.

When typing in your recipe's method, DO NOT use line numbers or bullets and only press the ENTER key at the end of each step NOT at the end of every line.

The TAGS box is used to provide one word descriptions/uses of your recipe which are used to find recipes using the search box at the top of the screen. e.g. Omlettes could have the tags "lunch,supper,eggs". You may also enter new tags here if you wish. Be inventive.

The SERVES box hold the number of servings that the recipe provides for.

***IMPORTANT***

If you leave the current screen by ANY method other than using the TABS you will loose all of your method steps, UNLESS you have clicked the SAVE button.

To add Ingredients click the Amount box and type in the quantity using numbers only

  • Select the Measure Type from the Measure Type Pull-Down menu
  • Select the Measure you wish to use from the Measure Pull-Down menu

If You can't find the measure you require, type in it's full name of the measure and it be add your account.

  • Click on the category and select the one that fits your ingedient closest. You cannot add new categories and the moment.
  • Click in the Ingredient Box and type the name of your ingredient. If the system finds your ingredient before you've finished typing you can select it with your mouse or pressing the "enter" key.
  • Once you are satisfied with your entry click the PLUS sign at the bottom
As you utilize the site more, so your ingedients list will become more comprehensive

At a later stage we will allow your ingredients and measures to be verified and placed into the global pool of ingredients and measures.

You may add images to show off your creation or show ingredients or even part of your method. e.g. If you are treading grapes in your bear feet we would like to see it.

At a later stage will allow videos to be uploaded so you can show off your techniques for pizza dough shapping or pancake tossing.
